SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Quantitative Test (Blood)

Point-of-care test for quantitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 N-antigen

A fluorescence immunochromatography-based POCT assay used for the quantitative detection of the SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein (N-antigen) in human serum, plasma (heparin, di-potassium EDTA and sodium citrate) and fingertip blood. The N-antigen is present in the blood of a patient with acute SARS-CoV-2 infection. Detection of the N-antigen represents an additional diagnostic option for COVID-19. It serves as a direct indication of infection and, in particular, allows monitoring of its dynamics. It can be used to predict the development and severity of the disease and at the same time to verify the efficacy of treatment. Quantitative result in pg/ml within 15 minutes using the BOH-180 analyser.

The presence and persistence of the N-antigen in the blood is an indicator of active viral replication in the organism. Bio-informatics analysis has shown that the test also effectively detects the Omicron variant.
